Happy Endings

Every story should have a happy ending. Unfortunately in the doggie rescue world we don’t always hear as many success stories as we like. Happily, Welsh Terrier Rescue is luckier than most, with the exception of the very, very sick, we have been able to save almost every dog that has found its way into our arms. We are hoping that this new sites will make us more accessible and visible to those working in dog rescue and those individuals who have found or need to rehome a welsh terrier.

Enjoy the Happy Endings we were happy to be a part of . . . .

MEET PETAL

Petal

Is an almost 7 year old Welsh lady who is both dainty and determined.  Petal enjoys warm places and being carried around like a baby.  She loves squeaky toys and surveying her surroundings.  Put a leash on Petal and she turns into a sled dog raring for an Iditarod.  This gal loves to walk and lead the her human on great adventures.  Petal spent her life in West Virginia where she was well cared for but did not have a chance to be a typical house dog.  She is fully crate trained and knows commands to toilet.  Just like a puppy, she will need help learning the sights and sounds of home life.  Petal will also need a terrier savvy owner who can help her learn her commands as well as house training.  This girl is a diamond with a couple of rough (house training/commands) spots.  Petal will need to be an only dog.  If interested you must have an adoption application on file and be willing to travel to Northern Virginia to meet her and for pick up. For information contact Fernanda Fisher at fishwishmail@gmail.com or 202-669-7581.
